We love the rusted, weathered look of Corten paired with the reddish brown tones in this Timbermetal stone.  Some of our customers will take their Corten Weathering Steel very seriously and actually water the metal to help it patine faster.  Such was the case with this particular customer.  Knowing the finished product would be a perfect match with their stone choice, they began watering almost immediately after the install was complete.  To finish the look, their roofing is a red, exposed fastener cladding.

This metal roof was a fun one.  With steep slopes, it made for a great challenge.  The bright colour stands out beautifully against the log home as well.

Hidden fastener metal panels are excellent for any roof and these customers should require little-to-no maintenance for the next few decades.  While metal roofs may not fit everyone’s budget up front, the longevity and long term benefits outweigh any initial price savings in shingles.  As metal installers, we may be a little bit biased towards metal roofing.

Innsbruck started off as a stone install for the guys at SMC.  As we got going, we were soon asked to assist with the metal panel install.  This was our first major metal install so it was a big learn but turns out… metal installation was something we were quite good at and it quickly became our niche.  These panels were a colour called “Rustic Red” and they paired nicely with the charcoal stone.  Innsbruck was an Otto Cheng and WRE project.

Now this project here was a fun one.  Because of the location on Maryland, SMC had to rent a special lift to install the panels between buildings.  Our goal is to offer the best possible install to our customers so they are fully satisfied with the end result.  When dealing with hidden fastener panels like the ones here, it can certainly require a little more finessing to prevent any warping (“oil canning”).

This install was primarily all Slate Blue hidden fastener metal panels but there were some features in Charcoal as well.
